The Economy Package is tailored for students who prefer to learn from the pages of MedPrep's clearly written books with the support of nearly 27 hours of conceptually oriented online science lectures, 10 self-evaluated essay assignments, and 2 full-length GAMSAT-style exams plus plenty of additional mock GAMSAT and concept-building questions. This course contains the same four printed modules found in the Deluxe Home-Study GAMSAT Preparation Course, provides the same extensive online science audiovisual lectures, and covers the same fundamental science topics. However, the Economy Package offers less comprehensive exam practice than the Deluxe Package and assigns no essays to be submitted for professional marking. Should students ultimately seek professional assessment of essays, a course upgrade can be purchased for this purpose. To benefit most, students should have regular broadband internet access.
MedPrep students have at their disposal over 980 pages of printed textual GAMSAT review materials including over 1000 printed practice/revision questions. This 140 page printed and bound module of MedPrep’s Economy Home-Study GAMSAT Course addresses the Social Sciences and Humanities separately. GAMSAT Social Science material appears in various formats, including pictorial, graphical, and tabular representations of data. Common modes of data representation are reviewed in the Home-Study GAMSAT Course notes followed by essential GAMSAT-style questions that advocate data analysis, extrapolation, and hypothesis construction. Success on GAMSAT Humanities is unlikely to be derived from ordinary passive reading. Hence, the Home-Study GAMSAT course notes provide strategies to foster engagement with and comprehension of samples of sophisticated prose, poetry and editorial cartoons within a time management framework.
